The Art of Soap Making
Crafting Nature’s Magic in Every Bar
Have you ever wondered how a bar of natural handmade soap is made? At 11 Elves Naturals, we take great pride in our craft, the labor of love that is creating cold process soap, that is not only good for your skin but also good for the planet.
Cold Process soap is a traditional method of making soap in which oils and butter are combined with lye and water without the use of any external heat source. The mixture is left to saponify, a natural chemical reaction that results in soap and glycerin. After that, the soap is cured for several weeks to harden and mature, resulting in a long-lasting soap bar.
One of the benefits of cold process soap is that we have complete control over every ingredient. We only use oils and butter that have been responsibly sourced, and we carefully select natural clays and skin-safe micas for coloring. Because our soaps are free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and other drying ingredients, they are suitable for all skin types.
We use this cold process method to make our soaps in small batches. Each batch is hand-mixed, poured into molds, and allowed to cure for at least 4-6 weeks. This process ensures that each bar of soap is long-lasting and produces a luxurious lather that gently cleanses and nourishes your skin.
Our soaps are cruelty-free, vegan, and free of palm oil. We believe in using only the best natural ingredients the Earth has to offer while causing no harm to the planet or its inhabitants. That’s why we take great care in crafting every bar of soap, ensuring that it is good for your skin and the environment.
